The hard part, and the part I was expecting to see, was removal of the old, which would then be Replacing………but thanks anyway.

    Good video, but the title, How To Replace Flange Under the Toilet, is misleading. You never tell us HOW to remove the old flange. By the time the video starts, the old flange is already removed. It is not an easy thing to do. Usually you have to cut the pipe below the level of the floor in order to do this.

    Nice explanation. I actually had a flange that was attached to a curved pipe going down the floor so there wasn’t a place to put the curved metal pieces in the flange like yours was. I just screwed it on top and it worked great. (The bolt holes were broken off.)

    That’s funny, because I come here to look at toilet repair videos BECAUSE I overtightened my bolts and broke the cast iron flange, NOT the toilet itself.

    over tightening a toilet would not crack the flange. It will crack the toilet.
