Is is possible to repair broken ceramic toilet?

The break is on the rear of the toilet where the tank bolts are connected to the bowl. Will a ceramic glue hold?

I imagine that you could go to a lot of trouble to glue the tank, and it might work.
Here’s the problem with doing that. The tank might leak, or worse than that, might break and cause water damage.
So here’s my suggestion. Some cities have rebate programs that will basically pay for a new toilet because the newer ones use less water. I would look into that first. But even if you have to buy a new toilet, they only cost about $100 and installation is not that hard to do.

  1. I’ve broken one before in that same spot…..a 2 part apoxy is what I used……dried really hard and worked well

  3. I agree with using two part epoxy. Let it dry for at least 5 hours. I fixed a commercial toilet at work this way. It sprayed water ever time it was flush. It is now coming up to three years and its still holding up.
